Cyberpunk worldbuilding with mobile AR workshop - Kinemalab
Are you ready to escape the confines of physical reality?.
Bring your own laptop
In this era of oppressive tech giants and surveillance states, it's time for creatives to seize the means of collective imagination and build our own counter-narratives about possible futures. In this workshop we will use the free mobile AR app and web-based 3D engine Hoverlay as our technological playground to create our own virtual worlds using 3D models, animations, 360° scenes, sound, text and video. Prior experience with XR is not necessary. Bringing a laptop and smartphone is!
The workshop will be primarily be held in English but Swedish can also be used.

Amy Boulton is an artist based in Stockholm working with XR technologies. KinemaLab är en verksamhet inom Gothenburg Studios Development och är ett Resurscentrum & mötesplats för utveckling inom film & rörlig bild. Det finns en plats att verka på, möjlighet att labba inom XR som är ett iterativt, praktiskt labb för deltagardriven utveckling av platsbaserade, immersiva upplevelser – med fokus på interaktion, gemensamt lärande och kollektivt utforskande. Tillsammans bygger vi verktyg, testar idéer och utforskar vad som gör en upplevelse levande och engagerande. Du kan även söka stöd både om du är i behov att jobba i en studio eller av inspelningsteknik. Vår huvudsakliga målgrupp är 16-29 år & boende i Västra Götaland. Vill du arrangera en ”Work-in-progress visning? Hålla castings? En plats för repetitioner? Alla filmrelaterade projekt är välkomna att ta plats i studio 4!
